Add minority party representation to fiscal committee
Summary:
Changes the membership of the fiscal committee to include members appointed by the minority leaders. At the time of this bill's submission, the finance committee includes the House finance chair, two representatives of their choice, two representatives of the House Speaker's choice, the Senate finance chair, two senators of their choice, and two senators of the Senate President's choice. This bill would allow the minority leaders of the House and Senate to each appoint two members instead of the finance chairs.
