HB 1205 (2022)
Give DES access to enhanced 911 information to map drinking water sample sites
This bill became law.
Allows the Department of Environmental Services to have access to enhanced 911 information relative to addresses across the state.
According to Rep. Edward Gordon writing on behalf of the House Judiciary Committee, "This bill would allow DES to have access to the mapping information for creating and maintaining an inventory of drinking water sampling sites and to comply with the Federal Safe Drinking Water Act. If this information were not made available to the Department of Environmental Services, it would have to purchase it from a private company at substantial cost to the state."
