HB 1365 (2026)
Limit information required on pistol/revolver license applications
This bill is still active.
Prohibits pistol/revolver license application forms from requesting employment, personal references, or record disclosure information beyond what is expressly required in law.
The Senate amended the bill to also adjust the membership of the Board of Dental Examiners, similar to SB 567.
The Senate amendment also added two public members to the Governor's Commission on Addiction, Treatment, and Prevention: one with expertise in gaming addiction and a second in long-term recovery (similar to SB 422). However, a conference committee of representatives and senators removed that part of the bill.
