HB 139 (2023)
Establish hydrogen advisory committee
This bill became law.
Amends the definition of "political subdivision," as used in the definition of a "municipal host" for the purposes of net metering. In particular, this bill includes housing authorities, quasi-public entities, and the Pease development authority under the definition of "political subdivision." This bill also removes the requirement that a municipal host be located in the same municipality as all group members, allowing energy generation projects to be shared across town lines.
The Senate rewrote the bill, instead establishing a hydrogen advisory committee in the Department of Energy.
