HB 1638 (2022)

Start complaints over discriminatory lessons with superintendent, not human rights commission

Summary:

Changes the complaint process under the law intended to ban the teaching of critical race theory in public schools and public workplace trainings. Rather than go straight to the state commission on human rights, complaints about education would start with the school superintendent.
