HB 1742 (2026)
Protect customer-generators from inadvertent enrollment
This bill is still active.
Allows a customer-generator that is inadvertently enrolled in a municipal or county aggregation program to request that the electric distribution utility re-enroll the customer-generator in the utility’s default energy service.
According to a report from the House Science, Technology and Energy Committee, "This bill restores lost net metering credits to a customer-generator who was inadvertently moved to a community aggregation program, most of which do
not support net metering."
