Summary:
Requires the Board of Barbering, Cosmetology, and Esthetics to license anyone who is "similarly licensed in any other state." This bill removes the requirement that the other state's licensing requirements are equivalent or stricter.
The Senate completely rewrote the bill. The new bill reorganizes the Office of Professional Licensure and Certification and adopts the interstate social work licensure compact.
A conference committee of representatives and senators agreed on a final version of the bill that tweaked the Senate changes.
