Summary:
Prohibits local governments from making any new changes to the state building codes.
The House amended the bill to allow administrative amendments, such as where to file paperwork or pay fees.
The Senate also amended the bill. According to the Senate Executive Departments and Administration Committee, the amendment “cleaned up language to ensure that municipal amendments to the state building code are not more or less stringent than the state building code.”
