HB 463 (2017)

House/Senate Bill: NH House

Description: Allows the Department of Environmental Services (DES) to make rules regarding air pollution and the deposit of such pollutants on soils and water. DES states entities with such devices would have to pay an application fee and an emissions-based permit fee. The Senate amended the bill to also require DES to set a limit on PFCs in water that takes into account the best available studies to protect public health, "particularly prenatal and early childhood health." The House and Senate did not agree on a final version of the bill.
