Summary:
States that, "In cases of traumatic injury, the physician responsible for direct patient care shall attest in writing that all appropriate advanced trauma life support (ATLS) protocols were followed in an attempt to save the life of the patient. The document, signed by the physician and 2 registered nurses on the patient care team, shall become part of the medical record and shall be required for organ donation eligibility."
