Directs the committee to study restoration of competency to submit any additional proposals on or before July 1, 2025.
The House amended the bill to also to create a forensic liaison (FL) pilot program in the Department of Health and Human Services. According to the House Judiciary Committee, "The FL's job will be to work with the court and all other interested parties, including treatment providers, to ensure that the defendant receives all treatment and services s/he needs to be restored to competency."
