Summary:
Allows SB2 towns, which use a town-wide ballot instead of the traditional one-day town meeting, to give voters the option of a reduced default budget.
The House rewrote the bill to instead create a process for a city, town, or school district to opt out of providing an accessible voting system, unless a voter contacts them at least 60 days before an election.
A conference committee of representatives and senators agreed on a similar version of a final bill.
