Revise budgets for agencies providing services for developmentally disabled

Prohibits the Department of Health and Human Services from establishing or enforcing salary limits on the salary or hourly wages of direct support staff.
The House rewrote the bill. The amended bill expands the allowable budgets for agencies providing services to the developmentally disabled to include on their wait list registry application. This bill also mandates the Department of Health and Human Services use existing budget appropriations to negotiate reasonable wages and service budgets for services for the developmentally disabled.
The Senate rewrote the bill again. The Senate version grants the Department of Health and Human Services flexibility to use existing budget appropriations to cover service cost increases for services for the developmentally disabled.
The House and Senate must agree on a final version of the bill.
