Summary:
Requires a person seeking a restraining order specifically request the surrender of firearms. The court must then find that surrendering firearms is necessary to protect the person's safety. This bill also requires the court to anyone seeking a restraining order to sign a form acknowledging that false statements in a petition can result in prosecution for perjury.
