Summary:
Removes references to expense thresholds for county commissioners' authority to purchase real estate and repair, enlarge, or erect county buildings. The House amended the bill to instead raise the threshold for county commissioners to perform maintenance or repairs, build, buy, or sell county real estate, from $5,000 to $25,000. The Senate amended the bill to also increase the minimum value threshold of county personal property subject to competitive bidding, from $300 to $3,000.
