HB 86 (2021)

Start "Motor Voter" registration, eliminate same-day voter registration, block out-of-state college student vote

Summary:

Eliminates same-day voter registration and enacts provisions of the National Voter Registration Act (Motor Voter, allowing voter registration at the DMV when getting a driver's license). It also prohibits undeclared voters from changing their registration to a member of a party on election day and makes other changes to election laws. The bill also requires college students registering to vote to swear they also qualify for in-state tuition.
