Summary:
Defines "part-time teachers," who would work less than 20 hours per week teaching a subject they have educational and occupational experience in. Part-time teachers would not need to hold a state board of education credential.
The House amended the bill so that only full time or adjunct faculty in the state university or community college system can serve as part-time teachers.
