Summary:
Sets a mandatory minimum 10-year prison sentence for the crime of "distribution of a controlled drug with death resulting" (someone dies after using drugs the person supplied).
The Senate amended the bill so that the 10-year minimum only applies in cases involving fentanyl.
The House rewrote the bill to instead allow a sentence of hard labor for capital murder and aggravated felonious sexual assault on a child under 13.
