Summary:
Prohibits municipalities from adopting ordinances that ban short-term rentals. This bill also allows municipalities to adopt ordinances requiring the owner of a short-term rental to register the name of the person in state who can receive service of process for any legal proceedings.
The Senate amended the bill to also allow municipalities to require an inspection of property listed for short-term or vacation rental.
