SB 277 (2022)

Extend emergency licensing processes through 2023

Summary:

Extends the expiration date for the emergency licensing process, the licensing of out-of-state pharmacies as temporary mail-order facilities, and the emergency or temporary licensing of health care workers from January 31, 2022 to January 31, 2024.

The House rewrote the bill, but the focus is still on emergency licensing. The new expiration date for temporary licensing is June 30, 2023. The amended bill also revises some of the requirements for emergency licenses, for example to require evidence of continuing education.
