SB 328 (2024)
Require disclosure from ticket resellers
This bill did not become law.
Requires anyone reselling a ticket to disclose to the seller that they are a reseller. This bill also bans the use of bots to purchase or sell tickets, and prohibits the selling of "speculative ticket" (a ticket that is not in the reseller's possession at the time of the resale).
The Senate rewrote the bill. The amended bill requires ticket resellers to clearly disclose any fees, itemize charges, and conspicuously show they are not the original ticket seller. The bill also prohibits "speculative ticket" sales.
The Senate added some parts of this bill to HB 1241, but a conference committee of representatives and senators rejected that addition.
