Require local policies and procedures related to material in schools

Requires each local school board to adopt a policy describing the materials that are authorized to be accessed by students. This bill also requires each school board to adopt a procedure to address complaints submitted by parents or guardians about materials. The bill includes certain minimum requirements for the procedure.
The House rewrote the bill, borrowing language from a 2025 bill vetoed by Gov. Ayotte, HB 324. The rewritten bill requires requires school boards to adopt a policy on unauthorized materials as well as complaint resolution policies to address complaints regarding harmful material by parents or guardians.
