Summary:
Adopts the mental health counseling compact. According to the bill text, "The purpose of the mental health counseling compact is to facilitate the interstate practice of licensed professional counselors with the goal of improving public access to professional counseling services."
The Senate amended the bill to also adopt the 2009 edition of the interstate compact for the placement of children. The House voted to remove that part of the bill.
