Summary:
Replaces the Joint Committee on Code Enforcement with the Advisory Committee on State Building and Fire Codes. This bill also establishes a grace period for the applicable state building code on building permit applications. For projects started within 6 months after the effective date of a change to the state building code, either the version of the state building code is permissible.
The House amended the bill to remove the grace period.
