Summary:
Creates a new offense of threatening or intimidating an election officer or other people working at a polling place. This bill also increases the fines for defacing or removing political advertising on private property. Lastly, this bill adds a fine of $1,000 for filing illegible campaign finance reports; the first offense would only get a warning.
The House amended the bill to also establish a fine of $250 to $1,000 for election officials who act negligently in their duties.
