SB 446 (2022)

Establish financial incentives for child care

Summary:

Establishes a child care workforce fund, to be administered by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), dedicated to financing recruitment and retention bonuses and benefits for eligible NH child care employers. The bill sends just under $9 million in federal money to the fund.

The Senate amended the bill to instead direct DHHS to come up with a plan "for economic relief and recovery relative to fostering sustainable childcare opportunities within the state."
