Summary:
Requires health care facilities to implement and maintain workplace violence prevention programs and reporting requirements. This bill then establishes the Health Care Workplace Safety Commission to review the reports and make recommendations.
Originally this bill also permitted law enforcement to arrest an individual without a warrant for actual or threatened violence at a health care facility. The House voted to remove this part of the bill.
