SB 84 (2021)
This bill became law.
This bill changes the law governing how property owners must post notice on their land to prohibit trespass and physical activities. In particular, this bill removes the requirement that notices include the property owner's name and address. The bill also adds an option to instead paint purple lines on trees around the property. Lastly, this bill puts "every legislative body, governing body, board, commission, or committee of any village district" under the state's "Right to Know" law.
The Senate amended the bill to only add "every legislative body, governing body, board, commission, or committee of any village district" to the state's "Right to Know" law. The amended bill no longer addresses trespassing.
