If communities are interested in building more housing, then the state should provide financial assistance with infrastructure support. "The State of NH has a Constitutional duty to fund the public schools. Under the Claremont decision, it is the state's job to provide funding for the public schools, not the local towns. We should increase state funding for public schools. This would guarantee every child the opportunity for a good education and would result in local property tax relief. We should overturn the repeal of the Interest and Dividends Tax which would provide a significant source of funding to the state that could be used for public school funding (on the order of $140 million per year)."For| Read My Position
