Position on Issues

Do you support the “Education Freedom Account” program, which gives students access to the per-pupil share of state school funding to spend on private school or home school expenses?
"Education Freedom Accounts are about giving families options. Every child is different, and not every child succeeds in the same type of classroom or school environment. Wealthy families have always had choices. EFAs help make sure working and middle-class families have some of those same opportunities when their child needs a different path."

Should New Hampshire’s anti-discrimination law allow segregation based on biological sex in some settings, such as bathrooms and locker rooms?

"New Hampshire has already recognized the importance of biological sex in certain settings through HB 1205, the Fairness in Women's Sports Act. That law protects girls' sports by making sure female athletic teams are reserved for biological girls."

Should New Hampshire ban abortions during the first trimester (e.g. after 6 weeks gestation)?

"I am pro life. I believe the priority should be to protect the law that we passed that bans late term elective abortions."

Should NH add an income tax on earned income?

"An income tax would make New Hampshire less affordable and would weaken the very advantage that has helped our state compete and grow."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire lower business taxes?

"We used to have some of the highest business taxes in the country, now we have among the lowest. Lowering our state business taxes has helped small businesses grow, encouraged investment, and supported better-paying jobs. At the same time, business tax revenue has increased dramatically as we have lowered the rates because the economy expanded."

Should the state do more to encourage municipalities to remove zoning barriers to housing development?
"Republicans have supported strong pro-housing reforms that focus on property rights, less red tape, and faster approvals."

Do you support New Hampshire’s current system of public school funding, with about two-thirds of total funding coming from local property taxes?

"Republicans have put hundreds of millions of additional dollars into education, including over $420 million in increased funding over the last 3 budgets. The difference is that Republicans are trying to fund education while preserving local control and protecting taxpayers. Democrats want to spend us to an income tax and a new statewide property tax."

Should New Hampshire allow at least 10% of students in each school district to enroll in a different public school, regardless of where they live?

"A student's opportunity should not depend on their zip code. If another public school has space available and is a better fit for a student, they should have that opportunity to attend."
