Should New Hampshire ban abortions during the first trimester (e.g. after 6 weeks gestation)?

"I believe the law should follow the hearts and minds of the people, and while I am strongly pro-life I know the voters are not with me on this issue. However, I believe they would support a ban at viability, which is currently about 20 weeks gestation. Therefore, that is what I would endorse, while continuing to educate people about the medical reality that a fetus is a person at all stages of development."

Should the state do more to encourage municipalities to remove zoning barriers to housing development?
"Prices are set by supply and demand. Some towns have used zoning to discourage new home construction, which has raised prices far beyond the ability of our young families to pay. I believe in basic property rights, and fundamentally believe that people that own property should be able to put a house on it."

Should New Hampshire do more to encourage the development of nuclear power, including small modular reactors (SMR), in the state?

"I don't support subsidizing the technology, but I believe nuclear power has been proven safe, and that SMR is a compelling answer to our high energy costs."

"The I&D tax was an income tax."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Do you support New Hampshire’s current system of public school funding, with about two-thirds of total funding coming from local property taxes?

"Public schools have historically been viewed as a local obligation. That results in local control."

Should New Hampshire legalize the recreational use of marijuana by allowing home-growing and private use without sales?

"I believe police should focus on real crimes with real victims, and marijuana use is generally victimless. This especially makes sense when all states around us have legalized it. However, I do support the power of towns to regulate cannabis use in public."

Should state law cap how much local school districts can increase their budget each year?

"School expenses have increased far faster than inflation, even as enrollment has fallen over 20% from its peak. This is not sustainable."

Should NH pass stricter gun control laws?

"Firearms are as basic a right as freedom of the press, and I oppose restrictions on both."
