Do you support the “Education Freedom Account” program, which gives students access to the per-pupil share of state school funding to spend on private school or home school expenses?

"President Xi of China is all for this. Taking money from public education to give to home-schoolers and schools with dubious qualifications will lead to the US falling behind China and India in critical areas such as STEM. The founding fathers wanted public education to provide the nation with citizens able to be productive members of the society. From personal experience of watching family members home school their children, their now-adult children are woefully unprepared."

Should New Hampshire ban discussions about sexual orientation and gender identity in grades K-3?

"I haven't seen any law that provides clarity on what is appropriate versus not. Teachers can have age-appropriate discussions with children who WILL see references to these questions in the world outside school, and who look to their teachers to answer basic questions. Teachers do not have to provide opinions, but they know how to provide basic information in a neutral way."

Do you support the state law that bans teaching certain concepts, such as the idea that people may be "inherently racist, sexist, or oppressive, whether consciously or unconsciously"?

"People who don't know their history are doomed to repeat it. Due to the 'loyalty test' the current GOP-led legislature passed in NH, teachers in Salem elementary schools are not teaching any history beyond the revolution. We are failing our children. And people who are for book-banning are never on the right side of history."

Should NH add an income tax on earned income?

"I live in a border town and for 40 years I paid income tax to Massachusetts. If NH had an income tax, the money paid to MA would have been redirected to NH. Meanwhile our property tax is much higher than a similarly-valued house in MA would be, and this high tax becomes a regressive tax to those with lower incomes. I have a family member who raised her kids in Salem but she's now on a limited income and moved to MA with the comment 'I can't afford to be poor and live in New Hampshire'"

Should New Hampshire add a tax credit for businesses that contribute to student loan repayment for employees?

"The student loan program works against students, especially those entering lower-wage professions (e.g. education). This becomes a drag on the entire economy."

Should the state do more to encourage municipalities to remove zoning barriers to housing development?

"Salem has less than a 2% rental vacancy rate, our lower-income population is being forced out. We do have to contend with infrastructure and water concerns but purely NIMBY zoning barriers should be up for review."
