HB 115 (2025)
Raise income limit for EFAs
This bill did not become law.
Removes the household income limit to participate in the Education Freedom Account (EFA) program.
The House amended the bill to instead increase in the income limit from 350% to 400% of the federal poverty level for the next academic year; after June 30, 2026 there would be no income limit.
The Senate amended this bill to temporarily continuing state spending, at 90% of current levels, if a budget did not pass June 26. The budget passed, so the amended bill will not take effect. Since the state budget passed, this bill was not needed.
