HB 1531 (2022)
Modify Oversight Commission on Children's Services
This bill became law.
Modifies membership, duties, and scope of the Oversight Commission on Children's Services. For example, expanded duties would include "maximize prevention through data analytics and evidence-based programming" and "explore and make recommendations on the development and implementation of a childhood information system to track and improve outcomes."
The House completely rewrote the bill to instead repeal two study commissions relative to children: the commission on grandfamilies and the commission to review child abuse fatalities.
The Senate amended the bill to also add 4 members to the oversight commission on children's services.
