Summary:
Increases the base cost of an adequate education - which is covered through the statewide education property tax - from roughly $4,000 to roughly $7,400 per pupil. The bill also increases the additional per-pupil funding for English language learners, special education students, and students eligible for free or reduced price lunch. Lastly, this bill expands the definition of an adequate education.
