SB 160 (2021)

Summary:

Rewrites the law governing multiple-employer welfare arrangements. According to Sen. Jeb Bradley, writing on behalf of the Senate Commerce committee, “In New Hampshire, several multiple-employer welfare arrangements (MEWAs) already exist. For example, the New Hampshire Motor Transport Association, the New Hampshire Bankers Association, and the New Hampshire Auto Dealers Association all participate in MEWAs. This bill would seek to strengthen MEWAs by allowing for a self-insured pilot program to occur.”
