Summary:

Directs the Department of Health and Human Services to submit a state plan amendment to expand postpartum coverage to 12 months under Medicaid. This bill establishes a related quarterly progress reports. The House added a provision to end the expanded coverage program on March 31, 2027.

The House amended the bill to add the text of HB 1210. That bill requires public employers, private employers, and postsecondary education institutions that receive public funds and mandate a vaccination or other inoculation procedure to accept an employee's or student's request for a medical, religious, or right of conscience exemption.
