This bill did not become law.
Last updated 2024-02-27 4:26 pm
Summary:
Requires schools and licensed child care facilities to test drinking water for lead and to notify parents of tests with high lead levels.
This bill also lowers the amount of lead tolerated in water. SB 247, a law passed in 2018, requires schools to install new plumbing or otherwise address lead contamination over 15 parts per billion. This bill would lower the limit to 5 parts per billion.
