"Living in New Hampshire highlights the importance of protecting our environment and natural resources, which is a national responsibility as we face a climate crisis. As senator, I will fight for strong regulations to safeguard water, wildlife, and land, and advocate for comprehensive climate policies that align with the Paris Agreement and aim for net-zero emissions by 2050. Addressing climate change is essential not only for the environment but also for jobs, public health, and communities, as its impacts are already being felt through extreme weather, rising insurance costs, and threats to industries. We must invest in climate resilience and infrastructure to adapt to ongoing changes and ensure a sustainable future for all Americans."

"Violence in Gaza has created a humanitarian disaster, with Israel’s bombing of civilian areas and withholding of food and medicine betraying its founding principles of human rights and equality. While Hamas’s attacks must be condemned, Israel must be held to higher standards, and U.S. aid should stop unless Israel upholds democratic values. Strict adherence to international law, humanitarian assistance for Gaza, and accountability for all parties are needed. The U.S. and international community must push for peace, justice, and dignity for everyone affected, and work toward a fair two-state solution to end the cycle of violence."

"I think at the end of the day, cannabis legalization, particularly in New Hampshire, there was the last poll I saw was in April, 70% of people, including 55% of Republicans, want it legal in this state. We need to stop arresting people for this, right, and if we could get that to happen at the federal level, all the states would fall into line and we would stop arresting people nationwide for something that most people in this state certainly want to see legal. We need to stop ruining people's lives because they get arrested and get charged with felonies for possession of cannabis."

"Health care is a basic human right, not a privilege reserved for those who can afford it. Yet in America, costs keep rising, coverage keeps shrinking, and too many families are forced to choose between medical care and financial stability. No one should go bankrupt because they got sick or were in an accident. No parent should have to worry about whether their child will get the treatment they need. And no community should lose its hospital because politicians chose tax breaks for billionaires over funding for rural health care. We need a system that puts patients before profits, guarantees access to care, and ensures that every American—no matter their income, zip code, or job—can live a healthy life with dignity."

"Our tax code should be simple, fair, and rooted in common sense. Like many other countries, we should eliminate the need for most people to file taxes—the government already has the information. Filing should be automatic, quick, and free. More importantly, we need a system that treats all income the same. Right now, wages earned from hard work are often taxed at higher rates than passive income from investments. That means working families get punished while billionaires pay less on the money they make by doing nothing more than holding stock portfolios. It’s time to level the playing field. If you work for a living, you shouldn’t pay a higher tax rate than someone who lives off investments. Everyone should contribute their fair share, and no one should get special treatment just because they’re wealthy."
