"I support enforcement that is constitutional, accountable, and reflects the will of the American people. Clear law. Consistent enforcement. No militarized agencies operating above the Constitution. ICE was created in 2003 and has operated for over two decades with limited congressional oversight and a documented record of violating the Constitution it was created to uphold. Federal courts have found First Amendment retaliation against peaceful protesters. Fourth Amendment violations through warrantless arrests and home entries. Fifth Amendment violations stripping detainees of due process. Tenth Amendment violations pressuring states to submit to federal enforcement. This is unchecked power that has done more harm than good in actually solving the immigration debate, outside of the absence of real policy over the last 45 years."

"On campaign finance I will go further than the question asks. No outside money should be permitted in state and local elections, period. If you do not live in New Hampshire you have no dog in a New Hampshire race. Outside money does not support democracy. It buys it. It silences the will of the people within the very communities those elections are meant to serve. The result is politicians who feel obligated to represent their donors and their party over their constituents. That is a slap in the face to democracy and a betrayal of everything the founding fathers intended."

"I hope to speak more about the Federal Reserve and its role in driving the middle class to near extinction. In a nutshell it needs reform that answers to the American people without political pressure or influence. Tariffs can have a function in reshoring manufacturing and stimulating investment, but they must be targeted and specific and not result in American citizens paying yet another hidden tax. And the must be done legally via Congress not at the whim of the executive branch. Raising taxes is not the answer to anything other than allowing the government to spend more. When you add federal income tax, payroll taxes, property taxes, sales taxes, state income taxes, and the endless layer of regulatory fees, working Americans are keeping a shrinking fraction of every dollar they earn. "Historically this is not without precedent. We removed Noriega from Panama and achieved a good result. Maduro has been a destabilizing force in the region and having Venezuela as an ally rather than an adversary serves American interests. That said, using military force to capture a foreign head of state sets a precedent that deserves serious scrutiny. Today it is Maduro. The same authority and logic can be applied tomorrow to someone else, somewhere else, by an executive acting without congressional authorization. I always prefer diplomacy over military action. In this particular case I am more comfortable with the outcome than the method."

Our primary strategic interest there has been the semiconductor industry, and we are already pushing to reshore that capacity back to American soil. That is the right move and it should be the priority. Ensuring America does not lose ground in the race for technological superiority is a far smarter investment than open-ended military commitments to a conflict with China"

"Before we open more public land to drilling, answer me this. Nearly half of the 25 million onshore acres already leased are sitting nonproducing. Offshore, 77% of leased acres are nonproducing. Over 6,000 approved federal drilling permits are unused. The land is there. The permits are there. The industry is not using them. This is not an energy policy. It is a giveaway of public resources to an industry with no moral compass beyond shareholder return."

"The existing Keystone pipeline already moves 800,000 barrels a day. Keystone XL would add marginal capacity while crossing the Ogallala Aquifer, which supplies drinking water to millions of Americans and 30 percent of the nation's irrigation water. The State Department estimated Keystone XL would create 35 permanent jobs. Any contamination of the Ogallala does not flush out. It sits there permanently. That is not a trade worth making. Energy is a national security issue and deserves a real strategy, one that includes expanding renewables and investments in emerging technologies, not doubling down on fossil fuel infrastructure with negligible net gain and permanent environmental risk."

"Section 224 of the 2027 NDAA would deeply entangle U.S. and Israeli defense industries across research, development, co-production, and intelligence cooperation, and would shelter that relationship from regular congressional oversight, making it nearly impossible to reverse. The founding fathers warned against foreign entanglements for good reason. This is exactly what they meant. Beyond Section 224, my position is clear. I do not support Israel's current military campaign. The International Criminal Court has issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Gallant for documented war crimes. The United States cannot continue writing blank checks to a government operating under active ICC arrest warrants. There is a line between defense and aggression. That line has been crossed, and American funding and weapons should not be any part of what is happening"

"From the halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli, America has never walked away from defending freedom. That does not change. There is a real difference between weapon sales and unconditional aid. If Ukraine or European allies want to purchase American defense technology, that is a legitimate transaction. What I cannot support is writing open-ended checks with no defined objective and no exit. Congress approved over $174 billion in Ukraine supplemental funding. The headline number sounds enormous. But independent economists found that the actual value of weapons delivered to Ukraine was roughly $18 billion. The remaining funds went directly into American defense contracts and stayed in the U.S. economy. Understanding that difference is the honest conversation this country has never had. And yet Western NH families felt this conflict in their heating bills and at the grocery store. America believes in defending freedom. So do I. But President Biden was slow to act when speed mattered most, and President Trump has yet to present a coherent strategy for ending this conflict. "Only citizens should vote. That principle is not up for debate and nobody is actually arguing otherwise. The SAVE Act is not election security legislation. It is a political weapon designed to manufacture a fight that does not exist while creating barriers that disenfranchise legitimate American voters. Over 146 million American citizens do not have a valid passport. The Brennan Center found that 21.3 million voting age citizens lack ready access to any proof of citizenship document and at least 3.8 million have none at all. As many as 69 million women who took their spouse's name do not have a birth certificate matching their current legal name. These are American citizens. Fix the verification system first. Make it accessible, reliable, and secure. Then mandate it."

NH residents already pay among the highest energy costs in the country. The answer is a forward looking energy strategy that includes renewables, nuclear, and emerging tech, one that holds polluters accountable through enforcement and innovation rather than passing the cost to the consumer. We cannot tax our way to a cleaner planet while handing corporations a fee structure that simply becomes the cost of doing business."

Do you support the United States’ involvement in the war in Iran?
"This question is personal for me. I was born in Iran. My mother is American, which made me a citizen at birth. My family fled just before the Shah fell because my father saw what was coming. I grew up with deep love for the Iranian people and equal contempt for the religious sect that hijacked one of the most extraordinary civilizations on earth. My heart wants Iran to be free. That has never changed. But wanting freedom for Iran and supporting this war are two different things. Our involvement was not well thought out, has no clear objective, and has accomplished little beyond spending money we do not have, alienating another generation of Iranians who might otherwise look to America as a beacon, and putting crushing pressure on American families already struggling with gas, utilities, and food costs. Beyond the strategy, there is a constitutional question that Congress has avoided for decades. Sustained military involvement in a foreign country is not an executive decision. The Constitution is clear on that. Congress has steadily ceded that authority and we are left with a system that lacks the checks and balances the founders put there for exactly this reason. Regime change in Iran is needed. The military has proven to be the wrong instrument to achieve it. The Iranian people, particularly their youth, are already thirsting for freedom. Exporting rock and roll and happy meals has done more to sway hearts and minds in closed societies than any bomb ever has."
