"When I played field hockey, there was nothing that motivated me more than when I saw the other team was co-ed. We have massive issues in this country like kids who are hungry and unhoused, people who cannot afford life-saving medications, and a housing crisis... let's focus on the things we need to address immediately instead of getting into arguments that don't actually impact the majority of people."

"The federal government should stay out of reproductive care which should fall on the shoulders of medical care providers. Just like insurance companies should not be making the call about what care is needed for a patient, neither should the federal government. Banning abortion does not mean they do not happen, it means the ones that do occur are more dangerous. What we should be doing is working to increase the availability of reproductive care, contraception, sexual education, and accessible clinics in our communities. I think we can all agree that we can work towards decreasing the need for abortions, so we should take active measures to reduce the need while also keeping access to reproductive care safe and affordable for all."

"The private equity act was for families like mine to invest our retirement in a physical item versus the stock market. We need to close loop holes to make sure this legislation is being utilized for the intended purpose instead of exploited by corporations."

"Accessibility has been a key foundation of my work within education and for those who are not able to reach the voting poll locations for any variety of reasons, we should still have a safe way for them to exercise their constitutional rights. I am also a proponent of a national holiday for voting day and/or expanding to a multi-day voting system."

"Declassifying and legalizing marijuana opens up research and development and regulation, as needed. It also decreases the insanity of incarceration that occurred do to the "war on drugs" that targeted marginalized communities. "While I would vote for this, single-payer system was introduced in 1970. The American people need relief right now. We actually need real reform in our healthcare system. The federal government needs to take over re-risk insurance, we need guardrails in place for insurance companies so they are not dictating our medical providers care for their patients, and then we need to transition the medical system to a nonprofit model. Then we can work on single-payer system. Right now, we need to pass the MediKids Act!"

"Ukraine is fighting for not only it's own freedom but that of the entire free world. Putin has made it abundantly clear that he will not stop in Ukraine. The United States has an obligation to stand with countries that are working to develop their democracy. From a national security standpoint, Ukraine falling into the hands of Putin puts the US and our allies at risk, as well as upending food security and other necessary resources that Ukraine provides to the rest of the world. Half my family was killed in World War II - we can learn from what happens when we slow roll aid to help people who are being unlawfully and unjustly attacked."

"We already have measures in place for establishing citizenship for voting. This is a point used to argue and make things more difficult for people like me, who changed my last name when I married my husband. With voter engagement down, a national average around 66%, we do not need increased barriers for people to exercise their constitutional right to vote."

"I support Senator Sander's and Rep. Khanna's tax on billionaires legislation. That's a 5% tax on 938 people in this country and would bring in $4.4 trillion over the next decade. We all benefit from a healthy community that has what it needs (universal healthcare, fully funded education, equitable housing access, childcare for working families, affordable higher education, etc) and we also benefit from a nation that is able to tackle its national debt."

"This was an illegal war that puts our service members' lives in danger, while this administration attempts to posture to China. There is no clear strategy out of this situation and we have not succeeded in any clear objectives. All the while, the president is profiting off of this war and awarded government funding to his family members through defense contracts to produce military materials that they don't have the technology to produce. I will not sit by while our service members put their lives on the line for a faulty National Security plan and for those in roles of power line their pockets at the expense of American lives. I am calling for the impeachment of Pete Hegseth and to hold anyone who has profited off this illegal war accountable."
