Do you support the “Education Freedom Account” program, which gives students access to the per-pupil share of state school funding to spend on private school or home school expenses?
"Yes. A more free market in education is desperately needed in New Hampshire to reduce costs and increase quality. There should be no cap on EFAs."Against| Read My Position

Should New Hampshire ban abortions during the first trimester (e.g. after 6 weeks gestation)?
"Current NH law addresses this issue effectively with our ban at 24 weeks. The state should not guarantee or pay for any abortions for anyone - no funding for abortion clinics. Abortion is morally wrong and should not be celebrated or encouraged."Against| Read My Position

Voting Record, 2024
Rep. Drew voted against HB 106, which would have established a commission to determine the financial cost of climate damage to New Hampshire and methods of recouping such costs. Rep. Drew also voted in favor of HCR 1, a resolution that calls for policymakers to fully consider all relevant information and factors pertaining to climate change as climate policy is developed. That resolution specifically called out "climate alarmism."

Should the state do more to encourage municipalities to remove zoning barriers to housing development?
"Yes, but qualified. Zoning exists for a reason - property rights often depend on your neighbors. I believe that we have given too much power to local zoning and planning boards. We need to dial that back without breaking the system. Absolutely no subsidies for any development, and developers should pay for their own infrastructure."Against| Read My Position

Do you support legislation to expand the net energy metering system capacity cap from 1 MW to 5 MW for all residential and commercial customers in New Hampshire?
"Net metering is a broken system that unfairly pays solar customers with money extracted from other customers. At the very least it should be cut to wholesale rates, not retail."Against| Read My Position

Do you support New Hampshire’s current system of public school funding, with about two-thirds of total funding coming from local property taxes?
"Property taxes are unfortunately the best of a very bad lot. They are the most honest of taxes, with taxpayers actually having to write a check. Further, local spending should be paid by local taxes - disconnecting spending from its consequences decreases accountability."For| Read My Position

Should New Hampshire legalize the recreational use of marijuana by allowing home-growing and private use without sales?
"What medicines people take should be up to them - I am 100% in favor of medical right to try, informed consent, and bodily autonomy. That does not, however, mean there should be no consequences for abuse or misuse. It should be possible for people to ban cannabis use on their property, address nuisances like cannabis smoke from their neighbors, and require drug tests for employment."Against| Read My Position

"The chaos at the southern border has come here, now, to OUR state. It needs to be addressed head-on. The ban on sanctuary cities needs to be passed, and we need to pass Defend the Guard so that our National Guard troops are here instead of Syria or Iraq."

Should NH pass stricter gun control laws?
"We should remove recently enacted restrictions on armed drones, as they are a violation of the 2nd Amendment and Article 2-a and are blocking drone development in New Hampshire. And we should finish removing other legacy arms restrictions that remain on the books."
