"Our present system of funding through local taxes is unfair often pitting older citizen's resources against the need to educate our children. Depending on where you choose to live, schools and government services are not always equal. I would explore a number of other sources of potential revenue. A state sales tax that is lower than any of our surrounding states, money from gaming or an education designated tax are some examples of programs that could be evaluated and perhaps combined to satisfy the needs of our state."
