These objective, nonpartisan measures are used to show this legislator's activities at the Statehouse in 2025 and 2026. The measures are not intended to present a ranking or rating of any kind. Do you support the “Education Freedom Account” program, which gives students access to the per-pupil share of state school funding to spend on private school or home school expenses?
"If the students/family qualify, I am in support of Educational Freedom Accounts helping to support qualified school expenses. There are some situations where the student 'fit' in the local public school is not the environment needed by the student. In such cases, EFAs give the family some options for finding an alternative means of education."For| Read My Position

Should the state do more to encourage municipalities to remove zoning barriers to housing development?
"This is a difficult balance between allowing local control and meeting the demand for housing. Also, if local communities are too restrictive, they will be sued by the builder and they will typically lose. Because of this legal consideration, zoning laws are truly more about local vision and local negotiation than absolute local control. So, I would support removing some local zoning barriers if all this factors could be addressed."For| Read My Position

Do you support New Hampshire’s current system of public school funding, with about two-thirds of total funding coming from local property taxes?
"The majority of funding for public schools has come from local property taxes and this practice should continue to allow better local control. However, NH has the 4th highest administrative costs in the nation, and we must find a way to lower costs as enrollment decreases."Undecided| Read My Position
